Kojiro is a humanoid created by the University of Tokyo’s JSK Robotics Laboratory. It was built with artificial bones, muscles, and tendons to mimic human body structure, making it theoretically lighter, more agile, and appear more natural, than more rigid robots. Full article at [spectrum.ieee]

This video features a newly developed robotic cop patrolling the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa. Well, not really. This is actually a spec corporate video created by Neill Blomkamp for a fictional company named Tetra Vaal in 2004. (Before Blomkamp was famous for directing the incredible “District 9″ movie.)
